Collection: Giggling Tango Details

The story...

The first piece in this collection - Giggling Toes - portrays the birth of a controlling relationship. A period of fire, love booming and an overdose of butterflies and joy.

The release of silence ..

The beginning of 2024 was a blessing in the sky. Arrived in Buenas Aires, without the constant presence of my partner at the time, the silence was relieving. While making this artwork, I rediscovered how it was to feel free and playful again.

Burned children love the fire..

Whether you love your partner, parent, sibling or friend. The connection should always leave room for your authenticity, joy and growth. No matter how beautiful the fire is, it should not burn you. I want this painting to be a reminder of that.

The creative process...

Bare feet, oil paint and paper all made it’s way into this piece. I was literally dancing on paper with a tango dancer in Buenas Aires. Pausing in between, walking back and forth with lifted toes to the painting well. Giggling and shouting like two little kids. The sensations and result couldn’t be more true to how I feel about the experience of being love boomed.
