Concepts of Freedom

 

This series was inspired and created during a recent visit to Buenas Aires. I had the pleasure of painting these pieces during my artist in residence there. Where I discovered new concepts of freedom.

Giggling toes, shy outburst and naging symbols found their way into the works like small prospects of what freedom needs. Concepts of Freedom captures both the visual and physical experience that comes along with the first steps of breaking free from a controlling relationship.
